After your skills assessment, you’ll need to follow these steps to proceed with your skilled visa application:
- Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI): Create an account on SkillSelect and submit an EOI. You’ll provide details about your skills, work experience, and other relevant information.
- Receive an Invitation to Apply: If you meet the criteria and have a competitive score, you might receive an invitation to apply (ITA) for a visa. This invitation is based on points scored in the EOI system.
- Lodge a Visa Application: Once you receive an ITA, you can submit your visa application. You’ll need to provide supporting documents, including your skills assessment, English language proficiency test results, employment references, and more.
- Health and Character Checks: Undergo health examinations and provide police clearance certificates to satisfy health and character requirements.
- Submit Biometrics: Depending on your country of residence, you might need to provide biometric information (fingerprints and photo).
- Wait for Decision: The Department of Home Affairs will review your application and documents. Processing times can vary, so you’ll need to be patient.
- Receive Visa Grant: If your application is successful, you’ll receive a visa grant notification with details about your visa conditions and start date.
