Have you got a positive Skill assessment?

A simple white paper checklist with one red checkmark, ideal for concepts like completion or approval.

After your skills assessment, you’ll need to follow these steps to proceed with your skilled visa application:

  1. Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI): Create an account on SkillSelect and submit an EOI. You’ll provide details about your skills, work experience, and other relevant information.
  2. Receive an Invitation to Apply: If you meet the criteria and have a competitive score, you might receive an invitation to apply (ITA) for a visa. This invitation is based on points scored in the EOI system.
  3. Lodge a Visa Application: Once you receive an ITA, you can submit your visa application. You’ll need to provide supporting documents, including your skills assessment, English language proficiency test results, employment references, and more.
  4. Health and Character Checks: Undergo health examinations and provide police clearance certificates to satisfy health and character requirements.
  5. Submit Biometrics: Depending on your country of residence, you might need to provide biometric information (fingerprints and photo).
  6. Wait for Decision: The Department of Home Affairs will review your application and documents. Processing times can vary, so you’ll need to be patient.
  7. Receive Visa Grant: If your application is successful, you’ll receive a visa grant notification with details about your visa conditions and start date.
